Mike Wood on stage

A COMIC WITH A SOFT SEAT HARD SELL

Mike Wood can put on a suit and absolutely dazzle a comfortably seated audience. Whether he’s the main event, part of a variety show, or simply acting as host, Mike’s warm sarcasm and fast thinking make for very happy ticket-holders.

Mike can fill a stage with awesome comedy in a time slot from 15 to 60 minutes long, depending on requirements and audience; and he’s got enough material to play host to a show that goes as long as an afternoon.

Mike Wood on the street

AROUND THE WORLD, CROWDS HAVE LAUGHED

Mike Wood has performed at major street performing festivals around the world. The show is slick, well-timed, interactive and professional. Mike is a firm believer in street entertainment targeting a “family audience” while still engaging adults in some high level comedy and a little thought. He might lob a few over the kids’ heads, but they’re so short it’s hard not to.

All Mike needs to blow away a gathered crowd is a 25'/8m circle pitch, a nice green cabbage and 30 – 45 minutes.

Mike Wood collaborations

PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS

Over the years, Mike has had the chance to develop several routines and collaborative shows separate from his own. His most beloved collaboration, Two Guys with Wood (with Phil LeConte and Colin Franks) returned to the Edmonton International Street Performers Festival in July 2007 after the show’s 2003 debut there.
