Mike Wood Uses The Word "gumshoe"
1 January, 2013
The changing of the calendar year means it's time for the eigth installment of my annual funny Happy New Year update letter thing (eight years on, I'm still working on the name). In it, I traditionally wish my friends, family, colleagues and fans a very Happy New Year, in a hopefully humourous fashion. Previous years' letters can be found here. I'll let this year's letter handle any further explanation. Happy New Year!
Mike Wood Wants To Perform At TED2013
24 August, 2012
I was lucky enough to be selected to give a short TEDTalk in London earlier this year. The idea is that TED2013 in Longbeach will be partially crowd-sourced, and so you can watch and rate my TED Talent Search appearance in London, along with those of lots of other folks from 14 other cities. It's a cool idea. I got a kick out of performing for that audience, and I'd love to perform for TED2013. Have a look, leave a comment, give it a rating.
Thanks.
Mike Wood Is Preparing For The Leap Year
26 February, 2012
London has some pretty swell stand-up nights. All across town. I've spent the last couple months enjoying myself with the Hand Jester Comedy peeps (who organise stuff all over the city), as well as some great nights at the Princess Alice for Wits' End, which is always stellar.
Excitingly, the time is drawing nigh for one of my favourite gigs all year... Circus And Magic Partnership (CAMP), in Winnipeg. I can't wait.
Meantime though, I've got a few things going on to keep me busy. Check the calendar if you ever find that the level of Mike Wood in your bloodstream is perilously low.
